Amendment in the Maximum Breeding Age for a Dog and Bitch

The National Breed Council of the GSDCP has amended the breeding rules to change the following:

"Litters out of Males at or over 8 years of age on the day of mating, and/or Females at or over 8 years of age on the day the litter is whelped, will not be registered."

to the following:

"The maximum breeding age for a female is ten (10) years, while there is no maximum breeding age for a male. A health check from a GSDCP-accredited veterinarian will be required for a bitch or dog over eight (8) years of age each time they are bred from."

This amendment shall come into effect immediately.
